Many paths, one shared journey

Interfaith Story Network is an international group of people who embrace the spiritual, moral, and healing power of story.

Our goal is to welcome and engage people of all cultural, ethical, spiritual and faith traditions in order to:

  • Work together for peace and understanding
  • Rejoice in the richness of our diversity
  • Celebrate what we hold in common

We aim to support and inspire one another and storytellers around the world to engage in this work by:

  • Gathering virtually. We are a global community of storytellers meeting for mutual support, understanding, and inspiration.
  • Holding online Sacred Story Sunday Interfaith Story Circles hosted by Artists Standing Strong Together (ASST.art) on the third Sunday of every other month from 4-5:30 p.m. Eastern time.  Each circle has a theme, a guest storyteller and time for open story sharing by those who attend.
  • Conducting member brainstorming/sharing/planning sessions on the second Wednesday of every other month from 1- 2 p.m. US Eastern time.
  • Providing a website that includes a member directory, flyers of upcoming and past Zoom circles, articles and global happenings (local circles and events), and contact information, along with a future bibliography and interfaith prayers.

If our mission is one you would like to learn more about, support, or engage in, please contact Gert Johnson ([email protected] 518-374-0637) and you will be warmly welcomed.  We are always looking for new individuals and organizations with whom we can share.

The Interfaith Story Network was created by a partnership of The Interfaith Story Circle of Albany/Schenectady/Troy, NY, The Dutchess County (NY) Interfaith Council’s Story Circle, and ASST (Artists Standing Strong Together).
